I really believe in chiropractic treatments but ultimately your sound back health will be up to you. The truth is that the bones go where the muscles take them. So not we're talking about balanced tension both strength and flexibility. One of the reasons 'people' get frustrated or discouraged in chiropractic is that if you are turning over all of the work to the practitioner then you have to keep depending on that methodology. Use your good chiropractic care as an adjunct to your exercise program and you will see even better results. Your back is a series of 27 joints that are intrinsically involved with each other at all times. Most basically the atlas (your head sits on it) and your sacrum (you sit on it) are always working to maintain a positive relationship so you can walk level on the planet. The many other vertebrae move around to comply with your body's request to keep your head level. When you loose the space between the vertebrae you naturally loose turning radius. Back exercises for the lats and the rhomboids(the muscle between your shoulder blades) are critical for back health as these muscles (along with the trapezoid are attached to each vertebrae in various ways. But don't forget that the chest is the front of the back and is also attached to the mighty rib cage.

I say often that golf should not represent a negative impact on your body (especially with TGM). The body is perfectly designed to recover from your time in this strange postural stance but only if you keep reminding it thru consistent and mindful training.

So support the chiropractor but first make sure you are supporting yourself. V
